Rhema Chapel International Churches (RCIC) serves as the church arm of Ever Increasing Word Ministries, a divine institution established by God to minister to the spirit, soul, and body of believers.
RCIC was officially inaugurated on November 29, 1987, at the Olufunmilayo Conference Hall, Circular Hotels, Ilorin. From there, the church relocated to the Katola Day Care Center along University Road, Tanke, Ilorin, and later moved across the road to its current location in 1989.
Over the years, RCIC has grown and transformed into what it is today, distinguished by its unique mode of worship. When God revealed the vision for Rhema Chapel, He spoke to Reverend George Adegboye, emphasizing that the church would not merely gather people or go through routine motions on Sundays. Among other things, the Lord declared that Rhema Chapel would have distinct characteristics.
Our outreach efforts extend to all levels of society—youths, men, women, children, the poor, and the rich. The chapel operates like a "combined harvester," bringing in souls from all walks of life. Ten years after the first chapel was inaugurated, God blessed the ministry with abundant growth in church planting.
From the initial efforts in church planting, various categories of churches have emerged, including Rhema Chapel World Outreach Churches, Rhema Chapel Satellite Churches, and Rhema Chapel Campus Churches.
Today, Rhema Chapel International Churches boasts over 40 branches nationwide. Thus far, the Lord has been our help, and He will continue to guide and sustain us.
